In order to make it easier for you understand our work, here are some details:
Our work involves traditional forms of embroidery known as zardozi. The most prominent forms of embroidery in our products are dabka, mukaish, resham or kashmiri embroidery.
We also do hand block printing and hand painting for exclusive personalised outfits. These, combined with fine embroidery and laces produce exquisite pieces.
Zardozi is heavy embroidery with silver and gold threads or wire - known as salma or sitara - on rich textiles like silk and velvet.
The pattern is first traced onto the fabric. The actual embroidery then begins using needles of different sizes. Often readymade shapes or maal, with names such as nakshi, sadi, kora and kangani, are stiched on to form a variety of zardosi patterns.
